It´s a purely turistic haven and was even
created as such- the first hotel was built in 1923,
11 years before the foundation of the town it self.
Villa La Angostura is the start or end point- depending
on your direction- on the scenic Ruta de los Siete
Lagos.
One must see- local attraction is the Parque Nacional
Arrayanes. The trees are characteristic by the twisted
cinnamon coloured bark that covers their trunks.
It was from these gilded woods, that Walt Disney
drew inspiration for Bambi.
Close by the base of Cerro Bayo is the access to
the Rio Bonito waterfall, as well as beautiful views
for those willing to climb approximately 500mts.
